Driving a Sustainable Future

Building the Infrastructure for Access to Space
Pacific Aerospace Launch & Spaceport (PALS) is developing a new model for space infrastructure in Washington State, designed to support the full lifecycle of space operations: build, launch, return.
.
Pacific Aerospace Launch & Spaceport (PALS) is a Washington-based spaceport and aerospace development company developing a multi-user spaceport and integrated aerospace industrial and technology campus. PALS is directing the planning, financing, development, and delivery of launch and reentry infrastructure, testing and research facilities, and aerospace manufacturing and technology facilities designed to support commercial, civil, and national security missions. Through this development, PALS aims to expand access to space, strengthen U.S. national security capabilities, accelerate innovation, attract investment, and generate high-quality jobs and long-term economic growth in Washington state.

Washington is already one of the nation’s most significant centers for space technology, engineering, manufacturing, and innovation. PALS is working to add a capability the state does not currently have: infrastructure that can connect what is designed and built here with access to and return from space.

More Than a Launch Site
The PALS concept extends beyond a launch pad.
The project envisions an integrated spaceport and industrial campus that could support:

  • Vertical launch and spacecraft reentry

  • Vehicle and payload integration

  • Advanced aerospace manufacturing

  • Testing and technical operations

  • Mission control and communications

  • Logistics and ground support

  • Research, development, and emerging space technologies

The goal is to create infrastructure that can evolve with the industry rather than being designed around a single vehicle, company, or mission.

Why Washington
Washington has spent more than a century building an aerospace workforce, supply chain, research base, and advanced manufacturing economy. Its growing space sector now includes companies working across launch vehicles, satellites, propulsion, lunar systems, space infrastructure, communications, robotics, and advanced materials.

A Washington spaceport could strengthen those capabilities by providing another critical piece of the space economy close to the companies and people already building it.

A coastal location also has the potential to provide access to multiple launch trajectories over the Pacific, subject to detailed safety, environmental, airspace, maritime, regulatory, and mission-specific analysis.

Building Responsibly
PALS is being developed deliberately.

Any future spaceport must meet rigorous federal, state, and local requirements governing launch and reentry operations, environmental protection, public safety, airspace, and other impacts.

Community perspectives and environmental stewardship are integral to the planning process. PALS' objective is to develop infrastructure that minimizes impacts wherever practicable while creating long-term economic and strategic value.

No launch vehicle, trajectory, operating configuration, or final site plan should be considered approved until the applicable technical reviews, community engagement, environmental processes, and regulatory approvals have been completed.

Our Mission
To build the infrastructure that connects Washington’s aerospace capabilities to space, creating an integrated ecosystem for manufacturing, testing, launch, reentry, and the missions that come next.

Our Vision
To make Washington one of the world’s most complete space ecosystems, where spacecraft and space technologies can be built, tested, launched, returned, and advanced for the next mission.

PALS is building the infrastructure that connects Washington’s extraordinary aerospace capabilities to space itself.

Designed here. Built here. Tested here. Launched from here. Returned here.

The goal is bigger than a spaceport. It is to create the foundation for a new generation of space activity, industry, investment, and innovation in Washington.
